Young Union

With around 60 members, the Junge Union (JU) Meerbusch has long been the largest political youth organisation in the town of Meerbusch.

Nevertheless, the team is always looking for new members because the age limit repeatedly leads to active members leaving the JU. Young people between the ages of 14 and 35 can become members, regardless of whether they are members of the CDU.

The JU actively participates in political decisions through its representatives on the council and committees and through its own motions and contributes its ideas in order to realise them together with the CDU. For example, the members have successfully campaigned for the construction of exercise parks and barbecue areas in the city.

In addition to day-to-day political work, there are also interesting political education programmes and, of course, social events. After all, commitment should not just be work, especially at a young age, but should also be fun and offer opportunities to socialise.
