Ansgar Heveling - Your voice for Meerbusch in the Bundestag
For Meerbusch in the Bundestag
Ansgar Heveling has represented the Krefeld I - Neuss II constituency, which includes Meerbusch, in the German Bundestag as a directly elected member of parliament since 2009. As a lawyer and experienced parliamentarian, he contributes his expertise particularly in the areas of law, media and culture.
Heveling is the legal advisor to the CDU/CSU parliamentary group and a member of several important committees, including the Legal Affairs Committee, the Elections Committee and the Committee for the Scrutiny of Elections, Immunity and the Rules of Procedure. He is also a deputy member of the Committee on Culture and the Media.
Born on 3 July 1972 in Mönchengladbach-Rheydt and living in Korschenbroich, Heveling is firmly rooted in the region. His political commitment began early on: from 2002 to 2009, he was chairman of the CDU city council faction in Korschenbroich and has been district chairman of the CDU in the Rhine district of Neuss since 2021.
For Heveling, direct contact with citizens is at the centre of his work. He emphasises: "Decisions that are made in Berlin have a direct impact on us in the Lower Rhine region. That's why it's particularly important to me to find out in direct dialogue what moves people, where the shoe pinches and what expectations they have of politics."
The CDU Meerbusch maintains a close dialogue with Ansgar Heveling and regularly brings concerns and issues from our town into the political discussion.
