At the constituent council meeting, Mayor Christian Bommers and Petra Schoppe were sworn in as first deputy mayor for the 2025-2030 legislative period. The CDU Meerbusch warmly congratulates both of them on this important office.
Christian Bommers has stood for clear, citizen-centred and responsible policies for many years. He begins his second term of office with the firm intention of continuing to lead Meerbusch in a reliable, modern and forward-looking manner. In doing so, he is focussing on an open exchange with the people in our town - a claim that he already lived up to with great conviction during his previous term of office.
We are particularly pleased that Petra Schoppe has been sworn in again as first deputy mayor. Her many years of commitment and tireless dedication to the city of Meerbusch are a great asset. She stands for reliability, experience and a close relationship with the citizens, and she will continue to champion the interests of our town with passion and vigour in the coming years.
We wish them both every success and a steady hand in all the challenges ahead. Together, they will contribute to the positive development of Meerbusch with experience, a sense of responsibility and a clear view to the future.
