Our town talk „Kosovo“ - a complete success

Our city talk on the topic Kosovo in the Lank-Latumer restaurant „Zur Alten Post“ was a complete success and met with a great response. over 40 guests was met with great interest. The well-attended event focussed on a topic that is not always present in the public consciousness and led to a lively exchange.

The speaker, Lieutenant Colonel and CDU councillor Markus Frank gave an impressive account of life in Kosovo, the population structure and the everyday life of a soldier on deployment abroad. His insights into working hours, the seven-day week and the challenges of a deployment far from home were particularly fascinating.

The Bundeswehr is deployed there together with 33 nations. Working in an international environment was described as particularly diverse, challenging and enriching. The guests were very interested, asked numerous questions and took the opportunity to gain an even better understanding of the complex interrelationships.

The enthusiasm and great interest shown by the guests once again confirmed how important such discussions are in providing insights into current social and international issues.

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our next City Talks. We are already planning a report on our twin town Fastiv in the Ukraine. We will announce the exact date as soon as possible.

Stay interested - we look forward to further dialogue!
