At the most recent meeting of the Meerbusch Seniors' Union (December 2025), the re-elected chairman thanked the Peter Vossen thanked the members for their trust and gave an outlook on planned events in 2026. Initial proposals for future events were presented, including the breakfast meeting and a meeting at Dyck Castle with a guided tour.
Werner Damblon recognised the Chairman's many years of commitment and thanked him for his dedication. In addition, the difficult situation in the Ukrainian city of Fastiv where the supply of electricity and heat is severely restricted. The Seniors' Union called for donations via Meerbusch hilft e. V. - Help for Fastiv on.
Current reports from the council and district provided information on local political issues such as the property tax increase, rising social spending, investments in education and current and planned projects in Meerbusch and the Rhine district of Neuss.
Peter Vossen bid farewell to the members and guests present with good wishes for the Christmas period and the New Year.
