SME and Economic Union of the CDU

The Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsunion (MIT) - formerly the Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsvereinigung der CDU/CSU - is the largest party-political business organisation in Germany with around 25,000 members. The MIT is committed to the principles of the social market economy modelled on Ludwig Erhard and to more economic common sense in politics.

We are an association of the CDU and CSU, but you don't have to be a party member,
to join us. Around half of our members are also members of the CDU or CSU. With us, after the
According to the Political Parties Act, only natural persons can become members, i.e. not companies or associations, but the shareholders or managing directors of companies or associations are welcome to do so. However, you do not have to be an entrepreneur. Employees, freelancers, the self-employed, students, trainees, pensioners and civil servants can also join us. What counts,
is the joint commitment to the social market economy.
Contribute your own life experience and expertise to political debates! Join us in developing the framework conditions for companies and citizens according to the principles of the social market economy! Transport your opinion from the local and district level all the way up to the state parliaments, the Bundestag and the European Parliament.
